Why we chose Dahree for online bookings
We spent several weeks working closely with Dahree's co-founder, Hong Jik Lee, before going live. By the end, two things were clear.
First, the people behind Dahree actually understand the beauty business. Hong Jik runs Dahree with his wife, Tina Lee — a working nail artist. She knows what clients want from a booking experience because she's been on the other side of the chair for years. He's a full-stack engineer who previously worked on self-driving vehicle systems. That combination — somebody who has lived the beauty business and somebody who can build whatever the business actually needs — is rare in this space.
Second, the software is genuinely flexible. Hong Jik and I bonded early on over AI and what a good user interface should feel like in 2026. The big platforms are powerful but rigid. You take what they give you. Dahree builds features on request. When we asked for changes specific to a school-based student salon — instructor oversight, service durations that match our curriculum, how we handle walk-ins — Hong Jik shipped them.

Services you can book
Our student salon offers public services performed by senior students under licensed instructor supervision. Pricing runs well below what you'd pay at a commercial salon, and the work is real — most of these students are weeks or months from sitting for their California state board exam.
- Nail services — manicures, pedicures, and Aprés Gel-X applications (we're an official Aprés Gel-X school)
- Esthetics — facials, brow shaping, lash work, and Dermalogica-based skin treatments (we're a Dermalogica partner school)
- Hair — cuts, color, blowouts, perms, and chemical services
All services take place at our campus at 13640 Imperial Highway, Suite 6, 7, 8, in Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670.
