Beyond 21st Century Beauty Academy sits in Santa Fe Springs —approximately 8 minutes from Norwalk via Telegraph Road or Imperial Highway —and serves as one of the closest accredited beauty schools to your community. We're approved by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and accredited by NACCAS, which means our cosmetology and esthetician programs qualify for federal financial aid including Pell Grants.

We offer three programs:

‍Cosmetology School — 1,000 hours Hair, skin, and nail services in one license — the most comprehensive credentialin the California beauty industry. Part-time students complete in 12.5 months.Total cost: $17,560. Financial aid available.

‍Esthetician School — 600 hours Skincare-focused training with a Dermalogica-integrated curriculum. Facials,waxing, chemical peels, brow lamination, lash services, and more. Day and evening options. Full-time completion in as little as 5 months. Total cost: $11,206.50.

‍Nail Tech School — 400 hours California's manicurist license in approximately 5 months. Gel-X, acrylics, nail art, manicures, and pedicures — plus the official Aprés Gel-X Certification included in the program. Evening classes available. Total cost: $5,595.

Beyond 21st Century Beauty Academy was founded in 1997 by Miss Maria, who brings more than 47 years of hands-on experience in the beauty industry. She is a two-time Teacher of the Year and CCA School Owner of the Year. Over 2,100 graduateshave earned their California licenses through our program — including many from Norwalk and the surrounding southeast Los Angeles area. Our campus is located on Imperial Highway in Santa Fe Springs, near the 5 and 605 freeways — an easy commute from Norwalk whether you drive or take the bus. Norwalk Transit System and Metro LA routes connect Norwalk to our area, making Beyond accessible even without a car.

Financial Aid for Norwalk Students

Many Norwalk students qualify for federal financial aid through the FAFSA. Our FAFSA school code is 041482. Pell Grants are available to eligible students and do not need to be repaid.
